Cwm Bye & Praise Event

On Saturday 23 rd July all those with a heart for agriculture and rural life in Wales are invited to a very special gathering at Middle Park, Powis Castle to praise God and pray for our farmers and their families.

Farmers are facing enormous challenges and huge changes right now particularly in terms of the results of the EU Membership referendum, volatile prices, escalating costs and bovine TB.  All this makes for an uncertain future and yet there is so much to be thankful for.  This event is an opportunity to gives thanks and praise to our Creator God, to pray for one another, for TB eradication and for the future of farming in Wales – in a beautiful and inspirational setting.

Praise and worship with a number of  “old favourite” hymns will be followed by guest speaker Nigel Butler, Christian farmer from Berkshire.  Nigel has an all grass farm and has raised many fatstock winners.  He will share inspirational accounts of how the Lord has helped him over the years in many different circumstances in his lifetime of farming.  There will also be a time for prayer.

All age groups are very welcome to this event.  There will be fun and games for the children before the worship starts, and there will be a barbecue afterwards.  The gathering will take place in a marquee, so the weather will not affect our plans!

Welsh Gov TB Dashboard

If you want up to date information on the Bovine TB situation in Wales to help you pray you can now access this on the Welsh Government TB Dashboard.

This gives a clear overview of where there are new cases of TB occuring and also where there have been resolutions.  If you are not already part of a prayer group praying in your area, why not get in touch so that we can continue to build a network of prayer across Wales and ensure that all the counties are covered.

Goshen Events

Happy Summer everyone!  As the sun shines down on our beautiful land, we're praying for a great harvest for our farmers this year, for the right weather at the right times to make their work that bit easier, their animals healthier and their lives more blessed.  Today as we gathered in the Brecon Beacons we continued to stand in prayer for justice in food pricing - that we will see a shift in market practise so that farmers will receive a fair price for their produce.  We pray for an increasing transparency in all areas of financial dealings from government to retail to wholesalers.

We're also praising God for some amazing answers to prayer! Two farms we prayed for in the last months who were struggling with Bovine TB and wondering if they could carry on have been declared free of this devastating disease.

We're going to be meeting together to pray and talk about what God has been doing and what we feel He wants to do through the Goshen prayer network on Tuesday 30th June at Bronydd Mawr.  Please let me know if you'd like to join us.

We've also been offered the opportunity to lead prayer one day at the Christian Centre at the Royal Welsh Showground during this year's Royal Welsh Show.  If you're going to be at the Show this year and would like to take part, let me know and I will share details closer to the time.
